Help build a calendar of opportunity

Today, I’m announcing a new community calendar.

Environmental professionals, especially independent ones, often work alone or immerse themselves in conversation about what's happening within their respective disciplines. However, opportunities for environmental interpretation can occur everywhere, and like climate change, it touches all sectors.

Sometimes, our work can look like traditional environmental education; sometimes, it doesn't.

To facilitate connections between environmental education and other disciplines, I've created a calendar where environmentally-minded professionals can list their events, gatherings, webinars, etc., for free. Whether you call yourself an environmental educator or not, this calendar is for you.

What sector do you work in?

Do you lead conversations that may be of interest to environmentally-minded audiences?

Might your specialty inform the work of other environmental professionals?

Does your work touch upon domains like health and the environment, policy and the environment, ___________ and the environment?

You fill in the blank.

This is an invitation to add your events to the new community calendar. There is no fee to add an event. You will need a Luma account to create events, which is also free. By adding your events to this calendar, you introduce new audiences to your work and other professionals leading efforts around environmental awareness. This calendar empowers us to address a collective challenge: visibility.

Strengthening environmental literacy in communities requires everyone's dedication. Join us as we turn our respective "Me" projects into a calendar of opportunities that is a "We" project.

HOW TO CREATE AN EVENT

  1. Go to https://lu.ma/talaterra.

  2. Click on the button + Add Event (see image).

3. Complete the information for your event. Be sure to select TALATERRA Calendar from the selections in the upper left corner. This must be selected in order for your event to populate the calendar.

4. After you create your event, I will be notified. Please know that your event may not appear right away. I check the list of submitted events each afternoon. Thank you for your patience.
